In addition to being the only place in town that offers a monthly maintenance package at a ridiculously low price, Shift Modern Cyclery is the home of two other unique cycling businesses.

Hex Carbon Workshop, a carbon fiber frame repair and restoration company that serves customers from all over the country and Full Squish, the only place that offers full-service suspension fork and shock overhauls in central Arkansas.

So, no matter what you break or what you need worked on, we can get you rolling again.

Basic Tune Up $65-125

45min - 1.5hr Labor

  • Bike wash and frame inspection

  • Drivetrain clean and chain lubrication

  • Shifting adjustments

  • Braking adjustments

  • Safety inspection

Premium Tune Up $170-$255

2-3hr Labor

  • Bike wash and frame inspection including application of frame polish/protectant

  • Drivetrain components and derailleurs removed from bike for deep cleaning and thorough lubrication

  • Shifting alignment and adjustments

  • Braking alignment and adjustments including pad resurfacing and rotor or brake track cleaning

  • Truing of both wheels laterally and vertically

  • Hub examination and adjustment

  • Bottom bracket examination and adjustment

  • Headset examination and adjustment

  • Safety inspection

Ultra-Lux Tune Up $340-$500

4-6 hr Labor

  • Bike stripped of all components and meticulously reassembled as if it were a new bike including cleaning and applying grease or loc-tite as appropriate on all bolts and contact points.

  • Bike wash and frame inspection including application of frame polish/protectant

  • Drivetrain components cleaned in parts washer followed by ultra-sonic bath and lubricated as needed

  • Shifting alignment and adjustments including new cables/housing

  • Braking alignment and adjustments including new cables/housing or hydraulic bleed and fluid replacement plus pad resurfacing and rotor cleaning

  • Truing of both wheels

  • Hub overhaul with bearing service or replacement (parts not included) and freehub service

  • Bottom bracket overhaul with bearing service or replacement (parts not included)

  • Headset overhaul with bearing service or replacement (parts not included)

  • Jockey wheels on rear derailleur serviced or replaced (parts not included)

  • *Full suspension pivots overhaul with bearing service or replacement (parts not included) +$85

  • Installation of any additional components purchased at Shift

Ala Carte Services

  • All other services such as flat repair, component installation, bicycle packing or assembly, wheel truing, handlebar wrapping, or anything else you can think of, are all charged at our standard hourly rate of $85 per hour.

Bikes have become so varied these days that it's either impossible or unfair to assign the same cost for a tune up to every bike. A full-suspension mountain bike or a completely internally-routed road bike doesn't take the same amount of time to work on as classic cruiser. So, you'll see a range of pricing for our tune ups that we can narrow down a bit when you drop off your bike for service. Ultimately, it just comes down to how much time we need to spend to get your bike where you want it.
